    A reference app for Chinese New Year red packet amounts — parents, grandparents, helpers, nieces, colleagues and weddings — with ranges people can sanity-check against. Heavily seasonal, so the build is tuned for a traffic surge in the weeks before CNY and near-zero running cost the rest of the year.

    Pump prices from five brands, collected automatically every two hours

    Petrol prices for 92, 95, 98 and diesel, refreshed every two hours from the brands themselves, with discount-adjusted comparisons and price history. The interesting part is behind the screen: a scheduled scraper, change detection and a database that keeps the trend line honest when a brand quietly edits a price.
